Dr. Annisa L. Jamil, MD
Board Certification: American Board of Ophthalmology
Education: Dr. Jamil earned her medical degree from The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. After finishing her surgical internship year at Rush University Medical Center she then completed her residency in Ophthalmology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Next, Dr. Jamil then completed a fellowship in Glaucoma at the Devers Eye Institute/Casey Eye Institute which is part of the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Special Interest: All aspects of Glaucoma care including medical management, laser treatments, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and complex glaucoma surgery. Cataract surgery and combined cases involving cataract and glaucoma surgery.
Practice Philosophy: I am committed to providing patients with the most advanced, progressive and highest quality eye care. I continually strive to maintain the highest standard of care both ethically and professionally.
Teaching Involvement: Dr. Jamil has contributed to the field of ophthalmology and glaucoma throughout her career. She has written book chapters, presented research and given lectures related to glaucoma and its treatment. She also is involved providing peer reviews of articles submitted to the Journal of Glaucoma.

Hobbies: Dr. Jamil enjoys reading, writing but mostly loves to chase her seven and nine year old children.
